Anakin Padme 4 Panel

Where it came from
Four screenshots from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002). Anakin says something. Padmé smiles. Anakin doesn't respond to her follow-up. Padmé's face falls. Became a meme around 2021.
Four panels. Anakin casually declares something that sounds fine — "I'm going to fix the code". Padmé smiles and says "For the better, right?" Anakin just stares. Padmé's smile dies as she realizes he's not going to answer. The joke is always that Anakin's thing was obviously going to make it worse, and Padmé only figures it out in the fourth panel.
It's the cleanest possible "thought it would be fine, it was not fine" format. The fourth panel is where all the comedy lives — Padmé's face slowly registering the disaster, while Anakin just... keeps not answering.
Peaked in 2021 and is still in regular use. Especially strong for programming, policy, and "this is going to end badly" contexts.
