Charlie Conspiracy

Where it came from
A scene from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2008) where Charlie, wild-eyed, stands in front of a corkboard covered in strings and photos, ranting about a conspiracy. Became a meme in the late 2010s as the "connecting things that might not be connected" format.
Charlie Kelly, chain-smoking and unshaven, gestures wildly at a corkboard covered in string, photos, and Post-its. You use him when you're about to share a theory that might actually be nonsense — the connections are tenuous, the logic is stretched, but you are absolutely committed to the bit. "Me explaining why every Taylor Swift album is actually about one specific ex."
The whole format lives on Charlie's face. His eyes are bugging out. He is not sleeping. He has figured something out and he needs you to see it. The fact that the thing he's figured out is usually fake or irrelevant is what makes it funny.
Still in heavy use. It's the default "I have a theory" meme and has barely aged at all.
