Evil Kermit

Where it came from
A still from the 2014 film Muppets Most Wanted, featuring Kermit the Frog next to his evil doppelgänger Constantine in a dark hood. Became a meme in 2016 as the "me vs my intrusive thoughts" format.
Kermit the Frog stands next to Kermit in a Sith robe. Normal Kermit is trying to do the right thing. Evil Kermit, leaning in his ear, is whispering some deranged suggestion. "Me: I should eat something healthy. Me to me: get a frozen pizza." The hooded version is always the voice of whatever terrible impulse you're about to act on.
This is one of the defining "intrusive thoughts" formats. The setup is so tight — two identical Kermits, one clearly a saint and one clearly a demon, no text needed on the image itself. It also popularized "me to me" as a phrasing construction that people still use constantly.
Still in regular use, especially for relatable self-sabotage jokes. One of 2016's best exports.
