It's Me, It's Verity
Where it came from
A fan song and music video uploaded by YouTuber Horror Skunx on July 10, 2026, about Verity, the evil smiley-face AI from ThatMob's Minecraft horror series. It hit about 17 million views in a month, and a July 22 TikTok edit by @scheisspost that swapped Verity for a giant yellow character called Obesity pulled 9 million views in four days and kicked off the remix wave.
Verity is a round yellow smiley face that starts out as a helpful Minecraft assistant and slowly turns into something that knows where you live. Horror Skunx gave it a song, and the hook is Verity sweetly singing "hey, it's me, it's Verity" like a lonely kid calling you from the other room. It is supposed to be creepy. It is mostly catchy.
The meme is everyone keeping that soft little vocal and swapping the character for whatever they want. The famous one turned Verity into Obesity, a huge yellow blob, and from there it was open season: rude versions, fat versions, unrelated cartoons, people doing straight-faced covers, and a few edits aimed squarely at getting someone banned. The earnest sing-song delivery does all the work, so the dumber the swap, the better it lands.
If you see a yellow face (or something pretending to be one) introducing itself in a wobbly falsetto over your For You page, that's this. It peaked through late July and August 2026 and is still kicking around as long as the Verity series keeps getting episodes.
