Where it came from
In August 2024, a Kentucky woman arrested for trying to steal a car told police Kanye West spoke to her "telegraphically" and told her to do it. X account @Kurrco posted the story on August 30, 2024 and it passed 33 million views within five days.
The image is two glowing blue stock-art heads with neurons firing between them, and a little circle of Kanye in a black hoodie wired straight into one of their brains with a red arrow. That's the setup: Ye is beaming orders directly into your skull.
The real story is that someone told police Kanye had told her, through some kind of mind link, to steal a car. Police wrote "telegraphically." The internet decided he must have telepathy and immediately started blaming him for everything.
One more beer? Kanye told me to. Merged the pull request without reading it? Kanye. Texted your ex at 2am? He was in your head the whole time. It's a universal alibi for any bad decision, with bonus jokes about Professor X and whatever Ye was doing in the news that week.
