Oi Oi Oi A Eye Eye
Where it came from
The sound comes from "Hello" by OMFG, released on December 25, 2014, whose synth hook sounds like someone singing "oi oi oi a eye eye." Creator Firtana (@firtana0) kicked off the trend on December 20, 2025 by lip-syncing it at strangers on OmeTV, and TikTok took over in early January 2026.
"Hello" by OMFG is an instrumental electronic track with a squeaky, bouncy synth lead. Nobody is actually singing. But once someone tells you the melody goes "oi oi oi, a eye eye," you physically cannot unhear it. That's the meme: a ten-year-old EDM song got new lyrics it never had, and they're nonsense.
It went viral when Firtana started dramatically lip-syncing the hook at random people on OmeTV video calls, fully committed, eyebrows doing a lot of work. Strangers did not know how to react, which made it better. Within two weeks people were lip-dubbing it everywhere, cropping each other's clips, and making AI baby versions mouthing "a eye eye" with total confidence.
As of fall 2026 it's past its January peak but hasn't left. The song is short, the mouth shapes are easy, and anyone can do it at a stranger, a pet, or their own reflection. If you hear a cheerful little synth go "oi oi oi" on your feed, now you know.
