Sleeping intern
Where it came from
A Redditor posted the photo to r/tifu in February 2016 — him passed out cold in an office chair on day two of the job while grinning coworkers gathered around. It jumped to r/photoshopbattles the next day and blew up.
It's the single most relatable horror shot on the internet: new kid, first real job, everyone watching, and he's fully unconscious in the chair. The coworkers aren't even mad, they're just delighted to have caught it happening.
The photoshop crowd did what they do best and dropped the sleeping guy into everything — red carpets, historical paintings, the moon landing, you name it. But most people don't even bother editing it. They just post it raw with a caption about running on zero sleep while pretending to be a functional adult at work.
Honestly it's been dead for years — a 2016 flash in the pan that never really came back around. But the feeling it captures is eternal, so it still gets pulled out any time someone dozes off somewhere they absolutely shouldn't.
