So Hot Right Now

Where it came from
Mugatu, the deranged fashion designer played by Will Ferrell in Zoolander (2001), gushing "That Hansel’s so hot right now." The line got clipped into image-macro form and has been getting recycled since around 2010.
You slap this on top of a picture of literally anything that's having a moment. "[Thing] is so hot right now." That's it. Mugatu is doing the work for you — the smug little face, the fashion-guru certainty that whatever he's pointing at is THE trend.
The joke usually leans ironic. Half the time the thing you're calling hot is very much not hot, or it's some cursed nonsense you're pretending is the next big thing. It's the internet's favorite way to declare something a trend while winking that you know trends are dumb.
Two decades in and people still reach for it, mostly because Will Ferrell's delivery is impossible to improve on. Some formats just refuse to die, and this is one of them. Mugatu would be proud.
