Tuxedo Winnie The Pooh

Where it came from
A two-panel image of Winnie the Pooh — bottom panel is regular Pooh, top panel is Pooh in a tuxedo looking dignified. Became a meme in 2019 as the "fancy version of the same thing" format.
Two panels of Winnie the Pooh. Bottom: regular bear, labeled with a plain thing. Top: same bear but in a tuxedo with a smug, cultured expression, labeled with a slightly fancier version of the same thing. "Pizza" vs "A personal pie with artisanal toppings". "Sleeping" vs "Retiring for the evening".
The format is perfect for mocking class pretension — using the tuxedo version of Pooh makes the "fancy" thing feel absurdly performative, even when the underlying thing is basically the same. The bear is the same bear. The tuxedo is doing all the work.
Still very much in use. One of the tightest "this vs this but bougie" formats out there.
