Bruce Bogtrotter

Where it came from
From the 1996 film Matilda, where Miss Trunchbull forces Bruce Bogtrotter to eat an entire chocolate cake in front of the school as punishment. He eats the whole thing. The stills have been floating around as reaction images since at least the early 2010s.
Trunchbull's plan was to humiliate a kid by making him eat a comically enormous cake. The kid ate the cake. All of it. The scene was supposed to be a punishment and it turned into one of the great underdog victories in children's cinema, which is exactly why it never left the internet.
The image people actually use is Bruce mid-cake, chocolate smeared across most of his face, looking somewhere between triumphant and unwell. It gets deployed for any situation involving eating too much of something and having zero regrets about it — holiday dinners, 2am snacks, finishing a party-size bag by yourself.
It lives mostly as a GIF and reaction image rather than a captioned format with rules. There's no template to fill in. You just post Bruce and everyone immediately knows you ate something you shouldn't have and would do it again.
